AQUAMANIS, they are IRREDESENT SHARKS ! BALA'S have a different body shape,an are SILVER W/ BLACK EDGED fins, I have had them also

The fish in the picture is Pangasius sutchi, (Irridescent Shark, Irridescent Catfish, GunMetal Catfish, Pangasius Cat - common names pu-hah!), a schooling species from Thailand. Can grow to more than 1m, (39 inches). The public aquarium in Amsterdam has a display tank with a school of really big ones.

I got one I didnt know how big they really got until after I had already bought him mine is a little bit bigger than yours but not that much he was a baby when I first got him

we have a few of them in a public aquarium in aberdeen and they look damn good swimming together, the biggest one is about 30 inches long and still growing!!!
