I got these 6 cories named "Julli cories", they werent that either, they are acually C.trilineatus, just to add to my school of cories. But the 6th one, is different it is a different species, a "long nosed" species, i have heard that some are agressive, therefore, i seperated it and tried to ID it.

It looks like a C. Acutus or C. Cortesi, what do you think?

Also, is it a rare species? i think i got into the shipment of trilineatus by mistake.

I sure wish I could. Mabey look at planet catfish. You should be able to find it there. Good luck with finding out what it is. Any ways it is pretty.... :D

noone in this forum can help me? The fish is currently on it's own...if it is peaceful then it would be moved back with the others, but i have no clue of it's name, therefore i cant do any research on it :/

It isnt any of them because:

Corydoras incolicana: No black spot on the top fin.
Corydoras sp. (CO24): same as above^
Corydoras bondi: Not long nosed AND above ^

I can't ID it myself, but you could PM or email inchworm,
she is our resident cory expert.

it looks very similar to the C. acrensis but...does it have a black line on the eye? cant tell from the pics :D

Thanks anyways

It is hard to tell but I think you can see a line on the eye on the bottom picture

yup i think that's it, now i just have a few questions:

1.Are they rare?
2. are they peaceful? some long nosed species are known to be agressive
