New Fishesss

Hi everyone,
Thought I would post some pictures of my fishies that I got in the mail today from nashnut...and one from the store when I went to go get some more betta food! haaha

These three guys are the ones from nashnuts collection...THANK YOU!


This one is Copernicus



This one is Dozer ( my boyfriend begged me to name this one...he likes him )


And this little guy is Ernie..he was the smallest of them all but so cute



And this is the cute little female I found today...I saw her and she was following this baby white catfish around the tank...it was like a slow game of tag...and so i got her But she looks different then my VT female...could someone clarify for me whether she is or isnt? Her name is Fritta

I love the second betta picture it is so pretty. I like them all but the second one is awsome...

angel lady~ thanks I love them all and he is very pretty...(shh it might get to his head!) My boyfriend adores him...haha so he had to pick a name for him I have a feeling that he is going to end up being more his fish then mine haha

Of course, I'm not keeping them all 4 of them are getting the luxioury of sitting in a small local office building with my mom, and her coworkers. They're guarenteed appropriet tanks and diet, I've made sure of that!

1 is going to my boyfriend, who seems completly head-over-heals for fishies now, and is so excited, you'd think he was being shipped an adoptive son in the mail or something!

I'm going to make my mom take in frozen bloodworms once a week from my stash and run around feeding everyone

So I was visiting my parents house today...and they needed dog food, so me and my grandma (who since ive started talking about fish has been more interested in what I have to say then anyone else in the family...haha they all think im nuts) decided that wed go together so we could also look at the fish...so we got there and without even looking at the dog food we went straight to the fish section...I was disgusted! they had 6 fish, whom were in those small little containers (which isnt a change from most other fish stores) but there water was so dirty you could barely see what you were looking at! Even my grandma who has pretty much no real concept of how bettas should be kept knew it just wasnt right...so reluctantly i walked away...just to come back and find...on the bottom shelf...where no one could see her...a beautiful female with a rip in her tail...she was sulking on the bottom and right then i knew i had to get her...i grabbed a kritter keeper and told one of the workers that id like her...so they grabbed her...

I will post pictures later...but when i got her home to my parents i noticed a few things...for one...SHES HUGE...shes bigger then most my male fish i have...( im not sure but i thought i read somewhere about a 'giant' betta fish...could she have that trait?) I also noticed when i got her into the KK that she looks a little bloated hopefully she just got fed a little to much but im scared it might be the start of dropsy...?? when i get home to my appartment tonight i plan on putting in some melafix in her water...what should I put in her water for dropsy...or should i just wait and see if thats what it really is? Any advice would be great...thanks!

Those are beautiful fish Lady! I can see why your bf is in love with Dozer his a gorgeous fish.

Well done on the rescue of the female betta thats such a sweet story. Can't wait to see photos of her once you got her sorted and settled

Maxim_Storm- thanks...haha yeah hes actually enjoying it...never thought id see the day hed sit and watch the fish with me...he actually asked me if he could be there when I spawn my first two! haha so maybe hell turn into a betta sucker like me...wouldnt that be a site...our houses would be full of fish everywhere...!
