That's really good. Can I see a photo of the under side? How does it sit on the aquarium?

What wood did you use? And what are you going to paint/varnish with?

Eletrics fitted

Wood is 3/4" marine ply , painted with weathershield silk, finished off with 4 coats of yacht varnish.
The hood sits on 4 runners(?) you can make them out in pic 1(rear 1 has been made longer for more support(read i cocked up on measurments)

nice! i think this should be moved to the DIY section ? so more people lookin into DIY hood making might get a glimpse of it and get ideas :)

btw nice tank ryo!

There is 90w in there at the moment, I can fit 2 t5 tubes in there as well if i need but its a tad tight, records are only 12 inches wide.90w should be enough , just got to play around with the tubes to find the right colour, most of my tubes are a tad yellow/green in colour(might chuck an original tropical in there to warm it up)
I like the feeder lid concept too
Lol i need it my SAE are suicidal, open the lid and the make a break for it.
