My fighter has a beak

Hi all,

My fighter has, over the past few days, developed a growth of some sort between his eyes. At first I thought it was him attempting to get through the mesh divider I'd set up for him, but I have since removed the divider, and it seems to be getting worse. I've enclosed a couple of pictures, to see if it helps, and I can only describe it as him developing an oranda-style red cap.

Any ideas?
