Quite hard to critisise that my friend - excellent work.

If I had to though I would say your red feathery plant in the left centre(Myriophyllum tuberculatum?) would look better on the extreme left. I think red plants in the centre of a layout look a little harsh, creating too much tension in the composition. Perhaps swap it with the Limnophila sessiflora (Ambulia).

Your foreground is carpeting nicely but I feel a smaller leaved plant would do more justice, it looks a little too overpowering.

Overall you have an excellent layout, great hardscape with the mosses on your nice wood - it wouldn't take much work to turn that into an AGA entrant.

It looks like zig and Jimbooo have some more competition - Well Done!!

*sigh* yet another gorgeous tank! How do you guys do it?!

I would try black for a background ... but thats personal preference.

Plants look great. Do you have algae?! lol I gotta find something wrong with it :D

Excellent job!

houndour - lol yup the red plant ( Myriophyllum matogrossense _ correct gf225 :D ) atract algae like its going out of fashion but dont tell anyone. It doesnt show on the Cabomba as much.
gf225 - I know what you mean about the Sagittaria Subulata, it does take over a bit,was thinking of thining it right out and planting Glossostigma elatinoides when ive finished new hood. As for the Myriophyllum matogrossense ive been trying to find Euteralis stellata to use instead but cant find it at the moment.
Cheers Nix and shuhu for the coments.
qwikimpss try planting m8 it isnt as hard as it looks honest  its fun

Jimbooo and i shall beat off the competition :D

Obviously only joking but i couldnt resist in the face of serious taunting and provocation from a senior member (who btw is also considered *The competition*) :D

Tank looks fantastic, i almost prefer the thumbnail pic for your sig than the one you are useing, just personal preference.

Yes i would also try black (easier said than done if the blue is stuck to the inside of your tank) the red feathery plant looks amazing, what is it btw, definatly a showpiece, overall i really like it, i also dont mind the foreground i think it suits a sand substrate, but overall a great job, id say you are pleased with it, and yes definatly another nice tank around here, things are hotting up, and hopefully we will have multiple entries from this forum for AGA in the not to distant future!!!

just for you zig lol
The red plant is Myriophyllum matogrossense, nice plant but gets clogged with detrious real easy (hence reason for adding second filter) and grows like a weed lol.
The background colour is painted so wont be changed any time soon but its not a big job.

wow, lovely tank!
i like your dwarf sagitaria alot

memnon :)
