Hey guys after losing my 2 x loaches i think one of my neons might have something on it's body. It looks like white fluffy suttf but then after it also looks like dead plants stuff on it's body. How can i tell if it's anything serious?

sounds like you have fungus in the tank. you can get a med to kill it off.

your fish has
1) Saprolegnia (fungus) infection

2) Columnaris infection (mouth fungus/cotton wool disease).

either way you need to medicate, changing water and raising the temp will not suffice.

You cant kill fungus with just raising temperature. Its a must to use treatment if its fungus. Best is to host a picture of ur sick neon. Because it can also be neon tetra disease. :( which the disease that is hard to deal with.

Sorry guys picture is poor, they move so fast and i'm using a camera phone.

Most of the time, "fungus" is a bacterial infection known as columnaris.

To treat this, you need to treat with an antibiotic - popular ones are Maracyn and maracyn 2, tetracycline, and Kanacyn. For this disease, you need to turn the temp DOWN, as this bacteria thrives in the warmer water. Often, salt is added, but I know neons are sensitive to salt and I think you still have a clown loach in your tank.

Here is a link with some more info for you to read. http://www.flippersandfins.net/flexibacter.htm

On the bottle it says for White spot, fin rot and mouth and body fungus.
It also says remove activated carbon?? DOes this mean remove the wool from the filter media???

No good for columnaris you will need anti inernal bacteria med.
