I have had my tank set up for almost 2 weeks now and I went to look at the tank tonight and it looks like snails are on the side of the glass. Could they have come from the live rock even after such a long period of time?

Absolutely.....I didn't have feather dusters in my tank until almost 2 months after it was up. You'll find more stuff springin' up soon. SH

the weird thing is it doesn't look like it has any shell on it

probably isn't a snail then - although you do get some that don't have shells.

probably some sort of pod, they will be starting to multiply in your tank now.
and they only tend to be obvious at night.

Check them out closely. If it has a tiny shell thats shaped like a fingernail then its a stomatella snail. I have just had a population explosion and have them all over my glass. I assume the warm weather has triggered them to spawn.

Perfectly harmless snails that are great algae eaters. ;)

I think that might be what they are and thanks for the help guys

this is what i have in my tank and night there could be up to 50 of these little fellows, but lucky for me a turbo snail released eggs ages ago and i now haw loads of baby snails all over the place
