What's best to do?

Had my first fish, 6 neons, for a few days.

The water was tested when I went to get them and it was all ready to receive them.

They seemed to have settled in great.. I spent ages watching them. One of them had a tiny white freckle on his tail...

Then the other day I thought I saw more freckles on a another fish- they are tiny so it's so hard to tell!!

I put the WS treatment in after I saw one of them flick on the bogwood. I have followed instructions, left a gap and am treating again today.

They don't look very unhappy and seem normal in every way really- good appetites, they have already learned to beg!

Should I just complete this treatment and then wait and see? Am I doing them harm by treating if they don't have WS?

How can you be sure when your fish are this small?!!

does it look like they have been sprinkled with salt?

turn the temp up too it helps treat it faster
was your tank cycled?

Hi, yeah I had the tank set up for about 5 weeks now and did the fishless cycle thing with help from the LFS-Also used media from an established tank- my nitrites were HORRIFYING last week, this week, all good!

They don't really look sprinkled. They just look like they have a spot. No one else can see it!

Maybe I'm going loopy. Would a picture help? I think one of these guys has a spot on his tail fin- can you see, it's not very clear.

I've squinted a lot, I think I see another freckle on another fish and one of them itched this morning on the wood..

Do fish only EVER itch on things if they are ill or suffering for something?

I am giving up and putting in treatment- please say I won't hurt them on the off chance it's not there?

I've had a case in my small tank of whitespot too. Having to do a second round of the meds too since one fish still has a few spots.
I did a w/c before I started and after the first course was done with. Am doing a 15-20% change today before starting the new course. All the community have been fine with the meds and it's cleared up almost all of it. Better to start meds earlier then later or the whole tank could be overwhelmed and you could end up with fatalities. Best of luck.
Oh ought to add the med I've used is a natural product as opposed to man made chemicals. It's made by a company called Waterlife. :)
Hugs,
P.
