In answer to some of your questions, the size of my tank is 96 x 18 x24 (L x W x H).

Here is a description of the tank setup:

10 x 38 Watt Dennerle Trocal Plant Tube = 380 Watts.

HEATING
2 x 300 watt heaters.

FILTRATION
Eheim Profesional 2026
Eheim Profesional 2222
Fluval 404

STERILISATION
25Watt Vecton UV

SUBSTRATE
Heater cable 75 Watts.
Layer of Silver sand mived with Duponit fertiliser.
Quartz gravel 1-2mm in size.

then just add water and apisto's....
