I currently have a couple of my boys in thoese but I do know that most if not all people on the forum will say its to small.

I think it depends on the betta whether or not its to small. One of my boys who used to be in that tank seemed depressed so I moved him to a 2 gallon and hes much happier now.

My other boys who are in that are ok at the moment and are happy but if they start showing signs of unhappyness they will be moved to at least a 1 gal tank :)

Eventally I do want them in a 1 gal tank. I just dont have the $$$ or space right now...

They are too small. They come in 1/2 gallons and that is not enough. I've heard of some places having bigger ones. I'm not sure where though. They are really cute tanks but I would personally not keep anything in there forever.

I personally think they are too small. A friend of mine has hers in them, and they bubblenest away every day. They swim to one end, investigate and then swim back to the other side and investigate. They are happy, healthy and really enjoying their home. You can get them in bigger sizes, I have one that is 2.25G. I have seen 1/2G-5G in that style. Mine however was only the tank, no gravel etc... I really think it is up to you and what you like and/or have space for. If you get one that size and the betta doesn't seem happy, you can always upgrade later.

I personally suggest these: http://www.petco.com/product_info.asp?fami...D+Desk+Top&ct3=

My boyfriend has... uhhh... 5 of them. I have 3. They're great, sturdy, and easy to clean. They're about 3 gallons. Yeah, bettas do live in puddles and things in the wild, but they are WAY happier having more space. Just think, you could live in your bathroom for the rest of your life, but you'd be way happier using the whole house. All in all, bigger is better.

EDIT: So I guess they're about 5 gallons... heh. Just used an aquarium volume calculator. Course, you don't fill it all the way, but it's closer to 4 than 5. Anywho, good buy. Way cheaper than buying a glass one AND a cover.

Yes thoese tanks do come in bigger sizes. I have one of my boys in a 1 gallon version of that... Like alot of people are saying and like I said before it just depends on the betta IMO if they like it in there or not :)

If that tank is as big as it looks (and it looks to be more than one gallon), then it would do just fine. :)

Considering that the size says it's a large, it should be around 5 gallons...and that would be great  .
