Hi, I'm new to the forums. I thought I'd share a couple pictures of my tank. It's a 77 gal. It doesn't quite look this nice anymore though, it seems to have developed and algae problem :( that's why I'm here to try, to research how I can fix it. This was taken about 6 weeks ago.

wow! very nice!

two things;
unfortunatly your tank wont stay planted for long as oscars LOVE to dig and move things, which will result in the end of your plants

and the last fish are pretty dangerous, they seem nice but they suck the slime coat off fish and eat their eyeballs

DD

I have kept Chinese Algae Eaters before and didnt have a problem and they were fully grown and in with fish as small as neons. But maybe i was lucky, i still dont fancy its chance against a Oscar though :lol:

Yes, I realize that Oscar likes to rearrange, he had the plants all up-rooted in no time, since then I've weighted them down and he's behaving somewhat.

I can't believe those sucker things do that, do they do that to themselves? -_- I have 3 of them in there, and they all still have eyeballs. :unsure: I don't think they'd attempt to go near Oscar, or they'd be lunch. If they start to pick on the 2 pleco's, they'll have to go but they are considerably smaller so I haven't noticed anything there either.

Oscar & my plecos were in a 33gal prior, so this tank came with the sucker guys and 2 Gold Barbs (which I had to give away or Oscar would have ate them.)

How big are your plecos?
The Plecos are both about 5-6 inches long, I'll have to get a measurement when they are hanging straight, most time the tail is curved along the gravel. I like them, I don't think there is much else I can put in there that Oscar won't eat, he rarely ever bothers these guys. :D
