Frankie (the top one) has a little different tail. It is solid when he expands it... no cuts or anything. Pedro's tail has one big cut in it, and a few samll ones.

Do you know how to make a betta open his tail? Frankie will flare, but his tail stays the way it is in the picture... just kind of drooping.

Well, you can try holding a mirror next to the tank. Most bettas with flare when they see their reflection.
