I have this giant starbucks mug, that measures 2 feet tall that I think would make a really neat aquarium. I'm not sure how many gallons it is, but I'm going to guestimate that the top is about a foot wide, and the base is about 8 inches.

Anyone have any ideas for lighting, filtration, and maybe even what kind of fish would prefer the tall aquarium?

Thanks!

This is my first time attaching a photo... hope it works!

Wacky idea which may be frowned upon by some but don't they keep Siamese Fighters in small tanks? Let's see what responses you get. :/

probably around the 5 gal mark I estimate!!

Would be a bit different, if maybe a little diffucult and warped to see the fish through the ridges!! :S I you could adapt a light to the top I think it would look quite impressive, kind of like a living larvae lamp!!

I'm sure a fighter would be ok in it, or a small goldfish???

:grr: Not a good idea in my opinion. Most fish need to swim lengthways, not up and down, even bettas prefer that way. Keep it as a mug, or make it into a lamp and keep fishies in a tank - not a mug

Ive seen those at the local Starbucks... (one of the 4 withn a mile :p ) and I would guess they are about 2-3 gallons... Maybe some dwarf puffers?
