Them red plants look really good - I dont seem to have much luck with real plant's, they seem to die quickly, rott away then clog up the filter

as far as the scarlet barb rosy barb thing...
it depends what picture you find on the internet....
i have about 4 LFS's, and they all stock rosy barbs that look like mine. if you look around enough on the net you will definitely find pictures of rosy barbs that don't have the "fancy fins".

I know yours are so red. Mine are for sure scarlet barbs they look the same. Here are 4 of mine eating a algae wafer.
