Hi,

Please have alook at the following pic, i noticed this wart like thing halfway down my sev's back, it seems to be half on his body and half on his skin, only noticed it in the last two days and it hasn't got any bigger, or the shape hasn't changed.
Any ideas what it might be?

is there nothing coming out of it? if its smooth then its not the above. is the fish acting any different than normal and have you checked your water recently.

He seems to be eating etc playing fine, would it be ok to add a little salt when i do a water change?

if its cauliflower disease then salt wont help, just clean water.

salt will only help if its a parasite. can you get in closer wih the camera or have a really close look at it and see if its smooth or lumpy.
