its still alive yes.
i rung my work and they reckon it could be a fungal infection or bacterial... should i wait till it dies itself or should i um... kill it :(
btw im treating it atm with myxazin

that looks entirely nasty ! If I was you I'd release him from his misery at this point. I dout very much that he'll survive with such extensive wounds and rotting flesh. :/

that really is the best thing to do. This is the pinned topic on how to best go about it. :byebye:

i think my brother just hit it against a wall... i wanted to use stuff from vet but i couldnt... and couldnt decapitate either  even the wall is making me sick

be careful - hitting it against the wall could just concuss or stun it ! Even worse and longer suffering - you really need to make sure it's very dead :/

well it was best for the fish...i'm sorry for your loss and hope you don't experience this again! do a couple water changes over the next few days just in case there is an underlying issue.

oh and check all your other fish very carefully and check water parameters. Do a water change. Good luck.

yes i agree there is nothing to be done for the poor thing, sorry. Also like has been said do a few daily water changes to make sure nothing nasty is in the tank.

ok that fish has been euthanised... but after in my other tank i found one of my cory meteas dead and then my gourami that had developed dropsy got worse so we had to euthanise that and now my red widow tetra (with one eye) developed something eroding its eye and then its eye went so it was basically blind so then we had to do the same to that!

we put it down to a bad batch of live bloodworms. will not be buying live food again

Sorry to hear that, hope the rest are ok, R.I.P. little ones.

Sounds like your water is bad and the tank health is degrading. Do frequent water changes in the up coming weeks and syphon and clean the gravel today or tommorrow.

Constant maitenance is recquired with fish, and water changing is a must.

Sorry to hear about your fish. :-(

How long had you had the fish? If they'd been doing fine until you gave them the live bloodworms, I'd assume it was that. But like bloozoo and Wilder said, do a few water changes to eliminate anything nasty in the water.

:rip: little Kuhli, cory gourami and tetra.
