Very large bichir

I was lucky enough to be sitting in front of the tank with the camera near by when my big 18" ornate bichir came out to get a mouthful of air so i quickly took a few snaps.

I realy like the tank decor/setup too, how many gallons does the tank hold :) ?

thanks, the tank holds about 205 gallons.

what type of wood are the really twisty bits?

all those limas togther look great same goes for your jardini looking fab!
 
The twisty bits of wood are mangrove root, they usually sell it for reptile enclosures at pet shops and floats at first but eventually sinks if you weight it down.
 
ah ha one of my places sells liana root i think it's called in 3ft or 5ft lengths, there like spirals.
 
thats another name for it, it goes well in aquariums once its sunk.
