I've been planning to get rabbits for agggess now. We have a 4 foot by 5 foot playhouse that we got from ebay and a 4 foot hutch which we will put inside the playhouse (but leave the hutch doors open so they have full roam of the playhouse).

We were also going to build a flap thing that can be opened when we are about which will lead to the run.

I would love to see anybodys rabbit houses/or rooms (if you have a house rabbit).

I've had pet rabbits before, one at a time. They were house rabbits. They roamed through the house and had a litter box. The biggest problem was that they like to chew through electrical wires (such as on lamps). One rabbit we had was in competition with our cat. Each one of them would get on one of the twin beds in the boys' room. Or one would be on my lap and the other would be on Hubby's lap. One we let run around in our totally fenced yard. Until the neighbor boy asked if we had a pet rabbit. Seems the rabbit could get out of our yard and visit the neighbor's garden and then return home. The boy's mother wasn't too happy about it. After that we had to keep the rabbit in the house all the time.

I currently have 2 rabbits. During the night, they are kept in the garage (can't be indoors as they are both unnuetered males (spraying) and we have a dog AND cat. Plus one of them is completely feral and agressive). Brindam's pen is probably about 5 feet long by 3.5 feet wide and is just an open-topped pen with all hay bedding and a nest box. Darwin is in a large breed dog crate (roughly 4 feet long by 3 feet wide), also with hay bedding and a nest box.
During the day and weather permitting, we either put them out in the run (approx. 10 feet by 4 feet) one at a time, or in the outdoor pen (approx. 5 feet by 4 feet). On rainy days, we can put them in the chicken coop since it is still too cold for Krelli to be out there now that her rooster died. Its probably about 7 feet by 7 feet. And, when we are having trouble with hawks, we put them out in bottomless cages that are probably about 3.5 by 2 feet; not as big, but at least they still get good grazing in.
Sorry for the lack of pics.

right now i have my rabbit in the biggest cage i could possibly get which still isnt very big but it gives him some hopping room but i'm in the process of building a 10x2x2 hutch for him, i'm still decidin on the width since he tends to go a little nutty when he's outside

mr bones your rabbit is gorgeous. He will love his new home. Do you have him as a house rabbit?

I've been to the rescue home today and reserved my rabbits. Here they are:

They're called Katy and Ben, but we'll prob rename them. I like Eeyore for a name. Aren't they just adorable?

Here is their home...we finally finished it today although the run is still being built.

We have to have a home visit before we're allowed to bring them home :( I hope we have it soon.

We've just moved house... we've been in 3 weeks - weekend number 2 was spent 'rabbit proofing' the garden.

When we are around they have the roam of the garden - and make full use of it :)

at the moment they are in a 4ft hutch with a 4x4x2 run.

When we build the shed they will have their home in a section of that with access to outside and the run :)

I love the idea of the wendy house :) - how much was it?

They are a bit bigger than the piccy in my avatar now :) they are about 7months old now (born early August)

We got it on ebay for £102. I think you can buy them brand new for £150.

It looks like from your avartar that your rabbits were indoors. Do you let you rabbits play inside sometimes?

I live in rented accommodation and I'm not really allowed pets inside, but we have laminate flooring which I think would be easier to clean if something went wrong, so we were going to have a go at bringing the rabbits inside for an hour or two every evening. We have some 'indoor' fencing (these cube things I got from ebay) they snap together to make storage space but I think would work great for a little play pen to keep the rabbits from eating out wires when we're not looking.

I got the phonecall about my visit today. They are going to try and send someone on wednesday. if not some evening this week. and we should be able to pick katy and ben up at the weekend :D Perfect timing with the bank holiday.

Heres the bunny we rescued 2 yrs ago. This isnt his official digs but the door stays open so he doesnt spend much time in there anyway. He likes the couch though. spoiled lil bunny lol Your new bunnys are just precious. I love that bunny house too.

yep - they come indoors

They come in a every other night for a few hours. they can now jump onto our funature and chill :)

they are litter box trained for 'number 1s' and are if they can be bothered for 'number 2s' they have a bit of old carpet that we put down for them with the litter box on - they normaly dont poo off of this carpet.

Ours hated the floor in our old kitched as it was slippery - they would run on the spot and slip all over the place :look:

fiddlesticks - gorgeous bunny

I wondered if I might have that problem with the laminate flooring. My mum is re-doing her living room though and she's letting me have the old carpet, so I could use this for them!

We have our home visit tonight. I'm really nervous about it. The run and 'hutch' is ready now. We have attached the run to the side of the playhouse and have made a little rabbit door that is lockable. So when we let them out into the run they can come and go in and out of their playhouse. :D
