it was cool, i relesed my female to meet the male, he danced for her, she checked out the bubble nest...then all of a sudden he chased her away...she is cowering in the corner top of the ten gal. What's going on? This normal? Should I pull her? HELP!!!

no dont pull her out yet this is what happens. she has looked at the nest and maybe she just wants it to be biggar for her and her eggs.
the male will chace her and also may nip her fins as long as you have good hideing places for the female she should be ok.

if he beats her up alot and she is shreded to bits then take her out.
ild leave them alone for a while just look in now and then.

how long did u leave the female in b4 letting her out and did u feed them both up

This is normal, it's really not a pretty thing to watch. He's just not ready and he's letting her know. But if it gets to be too much, you need to throw in the towel and pull her.

:( I pulled her. Bummer...I so wanted this to happen. He was attacking her..and it was no problem getting her into the net, she swam in...lol. "Save me!" It was so beautiful and surreal at first when they met, they were dancing in the water around eachother...wonderful show. I donno what hapened. She has been in the tank fo four days now...can I try the same pair? Or will they reject eachother forever?

It happens. Especially when it's your first time. I've learned that if both fish are in tip top condition, that it's best to not really watch. Just peek in on occasion.

If you think the dance was beautiful, just wait until you see the spawn!! They go from fighters to lovers in an instant.

Now that she's out,go ahead and feed her a few times and try again in a few days or a week.

Thanks! I have been conditioning them on live brine, peas, bloodworms, and pellet food...Is that goo enough? Will the male eat now...or will he go without for a week?

That's good. Go ahead and feed him, too, during this period where you're feeding her.

also if your keeping the male in the breeding tank remember to clean his wast food and poop :)

 HAHAHAHA!!! I just peaked in on my pair to give them a pea treat, and the males nest is twice as big. I guess she was not impressed enough with it...lol.
