Here is our little boy, and I mean LITTLE!

His colours have not even started, but I have not seen a more healthy and active ray in my life...
So I bought him :shifty:
He ate at the store, but not yet here. I am planning a trip to get some ghost shrimp 2-morrow)

Super excited, just as so as little prince eats for me!

TY everyone for the lovely comments
Sorry Paul, you are right, I did not settle, I just still want a motoro (and will get one darn it! :shifty: )
He still has not eaten but has already attacked the power head and likes to climb the walls. Still very shy
I did buy some ghost shrimp, and he played with them, but no eating

When should really start to panick?
I have tried Blood worms, brine shrimp, ghost shrimp, and he does not eat today, 2-morrow earthworms (or can I try meal worms, since I already have those?)

He ate a ghost shrimp or two.
They said that he came in rather full and plump (still him not eating does not make it any better!)

Looks like a nice Ray. I wouldn't be overly worried yet, how long has he been in there? Keep trying to tempt him and watch him and the water conditions carefully.

Just out of interest, after reading a previous post of yours about getting the ray and some other fish, I wondered what his tank companions are etc. Thanks :)

Awesome ray. They where selling like 5 of them at my LFS yesterday. First time I've actually seen one in person.

HIs tank mates are a BGK, 2 Angels ( the black lace is actually bigger than he is  ), some tetras that I know will have to go before they start disappearing
I know, but being a mother, I worry
And he officially been with us for 24 hrs now :D
Knock on wood :look:

as long as you can't see his hip bones next to the tail your safe for quite some time, thats the first sign of being under weight. mine came to me like this bur are now nice and plump as you say!!

the sign of a well fed ray is a nice fat tail...or so i read!!

mine first went onto king prawns but were always eating bloodworm.

now mine love froozen river shrimp but won't eat the live ones i feed. at the store did they actually eat them or just sit on them for a bit...my rays do this alot, sit aboe a river shrimp but don't actually eat it.

mine have eaten earth worms, chopped mussel, bloodworm, froozen river shrimp, live bloodworm, discus mix (high protein frozen food) and think thats about it.

my most crucial stage for a ray is the first 2 weeks...once your past there your just about safe!!

mine will climb into the net i use to get the food to the bottom now and will glide up the side to where i am dfrosting the food, very greedy fellas!!

oh and here's a great site for ray info, packed full of ray goodness!!

watch the video in there aswell

I am so addicted to this guy, I can't stop taking pics.
My tank sits in my dinning room, wich has a window, and he seems to be hovering by the window, enjoying the view.....
