bogwood or slate

really undecided here guys n cant make up my mind i loved how the bogwood looked but hated tea water

not in love with the slate but want crystal clear water

put the bogwood in a trash can and fill it with water. Replace the water every other day untill you have clear water at the end of the 48 hour soak.

You can also use Zebra Rock which is nicer than slate.

why cant you put both in the same tank? split the slate up on either side of the bog wood.

I STILL have discouloured water and i have had the bogwood in the tank since last June... it really ****s me off!!!

Any tips on removing the tannins? Someone suggested a bag of carbon/phosphate remover...
