Well, we had a massive fish delivery at work yesterday, ended up doing a 12 hour shift by the time we finished unpacking everything....

There were a couple of things that cought my eye, some interesting dora cats, a nice syno angelicus, some baby pictus, but most of all.... some beautiful Black Ghost Knife Fish!

Usually they would retail at around the £50 mark but i managed to get it at trade price + VAT, which should work out at around £13... i shall pay for him on Saturday.

Nice BGK, but £50 retail?? How big is it? My LFS sells BGK's that are about 5-6" for £7.50 each!!

Its about 6.5". It was the smallest of the batch, the biggest were about 8"..

Might have got the price wrong but im almost certain thats what the guy said... I will have to check when the labels are made up.

regardless of the price, he's a lovely fish. I love BGK's I just had to give mine up as I'm breaking 3 of my 4 tanks down because of lack of space and in preparation for moving, and he was just too small to go in with my Oscar!! Oh well, maybe I'll look for a bigger one!

Thats a shame RVM, are you planning to get more tanks when you move or just sticking to the one?

I'm hoping to start a large marine tank, but obviously space and money will be the limiting factors in that plan. We'll have to wait and see!!!
