just thought i would post a pic of my new tank set up i have only got 5 pristella tetras to cycle the tank hopefully will add cardinals in 3-4 weeks and then a few discus a month after them hope you like

Nice tank, it looks so empty! I think you should maybe get some leopard danios (maybe 5-6) then your tank will be very active

the tank as only been set up a week so didnt want to rush with the fish and end up losing them the fish were hiding when i took the photo but when we get a shoal of about 30-40 cardinals i am sure it will look a little better we are mainly concentrating on tetras and maybe a few discus not sure yet and some clown loach and corys for the bottom to keep the floor clean

Looks very nice.... and dont be tempted by people telling you to get rubbish fish.... danios...pfff...

Stick to your original plan, sounds very nice. The look of a large shoal of small fish complements larger more ornate fish such as discus very well.

I would also suggest a group of 6-8 Otos as your tank cleanup crew, would complement the tank nicely.

hi what are otos that you suggested ,yes i would prefer to do my tank slowly as i have lost many beautifull fish in the past to new tank syndrome rushing to get your fish in ,i dont mind looking at a emptyish tank for a while will benefit in long run with healthy fish and happy fish thanks any more help welcome

OTO's

for your reading pleasure...you'll love them as long as you have real plants your all set as Oto's plants ( but they don't eat them )
