Harlequin - took some time getting a close up of this, it is much easier to take as a shoal but often they are out of focus.

Female Pearl Gourami - I lost the male when my tank leaked, but now have one that is slightly larger than the female. It is currently recovering after being kept in a tank with some fin-nippers and was passed onto my LFS.

Last but not least, ny new aquisition 3 young yoyo loaches. My wife seen these and wanted them, they were not in my original plan, but since entering the tank they have been the most active entertaining fish in the tank!

The blue botia is stunning.How many bala sharks do you have? Do you know they are shoal fish and need to be kept in groups of three or more?

Cat fish crazy - I have 3 Bala sharks and they all swim around in a line, almost if they are attached to each other.

Tanked - The Blue Botia (Botia modesta or Orange Tailed Loach) shares many of the Clown loache's characteristics and grows to around 25cm (but that is in the wild!).

Feline - Most of my photos are out of focus, I just take a lot and see what turns out the best. On my camera I have a macro setting that helps me focus on close objects and occasionally use a fixed focal distance.

What I have found useful is to focus the camera on an object and half press the button down, this sets the focus, speed, F No etc and then wait for a fish to swim by. Because it is already set, the photo snaps immediately rather than the usual gap and means the fish is centred and focused.
