Me again (ur all going to be sick of me totally) I just unsure if this is normal?! After his salt bath earlier today seth has now started to sit ontop of the filter & well just sit there, he swims about for about 5 mins then goes back to the top of the filter - im wondering if he is making a bubble nest as a few bubbles have started to collate where he has been sitting.... im a bit unsure what the whole bubble nest thing is all about & it is the only place that the water is calm..... what do you guys think???????? my tank is on my pic. thanks Alex :dunno:

here is a pic of my filter just so u know where hes sittin Alex :)

No - it could be the start of 1 i suppose its only about 10 bubbles, ive just read another list about the bubble nests & Ive gone off the idea that he is doing that now. How do u know when they are having a nap? Im more worried he is going to die like sammy did :( with him just sitting there.......

What else is he doing? Is he breathing heavily?
What temp is the tank??
Why did you give him a salt bath again? Sorry, I read that post but have forgotten.

dose he have any other pace to rest/perch besides there?

If he has been ill..he is probably just tired. Make sure his water temp is up around 85*F (this is the correct temp for ICk treatment) and that the tank has enough room up top for good air flow if you don't have a air stone in with him (but if you do make sure it isn't full blast).

Hes got a bit of ICH I think & I treated him for it today with meds & when i came on here this afternoon someone said I should give him a salt bath which would help, so fingers crossed.

Tank temp is 26
PH/Nitrate/Nitrite/Ammonia etc all fine (checked last nite at midnite, i wasnt tired)
will do checks again later on
Last water change was 10/15% on sunday & 35% was taken out 3 days before that.

if ya need anymore info let me no. pic of my tank should be on my details. its 70litre (2ft) :)

A little bit of ick is a lot of bit of ick..there is no in between. You should put some ick treament meds in and raise the temp to 85*F (not sure what that is in C). Even if the Ick appears to have gone away don't discontinue treamtnet..it lives in the water after it falls off the fish.

It takes atleast a week to treat for ick..it's not a one day treatment..the salt dip is to just help HIM regain his immune system and help the meds fight off the ick, not get rid of the ick.

Yeah he has also been resting himself on the sucker part of the heater & there is a jar thing with holes in for the fish to use (when the plec doesnt occupy it, but seth doesnt seem to mind sharing that with sid (plec) temp is ok & I dont wanna take lid off incase he jumps out!!!! im scared of that.... but seems to be enough air able to get in. Ive put the ICH meds in this morn & will do again in the morn before work & give him a salt bath when I get home. Fingers crossed hey, im just hoping he tired like you mentioned from not feeling to good..... :/ here is a pic of his tank which he shares its a community tank
