Hi i just started out got a 30 gallon tank load of plastic plants (not overdone it though). And got 2 commets bout 2 inch and one bout 3 inch started with a 10 gallon tank (not really knowin alot). But after readin all the stuff on this i went out ang got the 30 g one few more plants and i nice big urn ornement and a cheesy diver!! .Got a filter and pump on the go and they seem happy as can be and alot more active i know its probably overstocked ,but best i could do for the 3 i got.Anyway just intreducin meself to you all any advice is always welcome even the 30 year ventrans of fish keepin had to start somewhere!!
 
Hi bon jovi sounds like a nice tank you got there,you will be digging a pond next i bet :)

Belive me if i didnt live in a flat id dig a pond!.can you have indoor ponds lol) Cheers goodto know im takin care of them!though if they do happen to grow big(over 4" am i right?) then my friend has a pond that can accomadate them and i can still visit.so one way or another they will always have a happy home,and all bein well will live to a ripe old age. cheers for all the positive feedback.

comets can and have been known to reach 12 inches or more there one of the more greedy types as well and will eat anything that fits in its mouth or try to
in some places there actualy bred as feeders which is a shame as itl weaken the strain and problems will start to show
