75gal Saltwater From Scratch

Just satrted my new tank. Have bought aqua clear 150 w/d filter with skimmer and ca2200 return pump(600gph) and 2 azoo powerheads(300gph) in tank. Have deep 6 hydrometer and keep checking water and some places is high and some places low is this normal? I added the salt 4 days ago how long does it take to mix thoroughly. I have my order of live rock on the way should be here in a few days. Live sand was put in 2 days ago and ph 8.4, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0 kh <180 >300 temp 76*. Im hoping everything is ok to add my rock. Thanks for the help. Ken

did you mix the salt in the tank with the LS in it? If you did, you don't wanna do that in the future when you have stuff in there. The salt will burn everything. I mix my water and salt in a 45G rubbermaid bin and after i get the SG where I think I want it, i let it sit for a minute with a powerhead in there makin' sure everything is mixed in well. usually it's all perfect by the time i want to put it in

Since you are getting 2 different readings in your tank with the Deep 6, you might want to invest in a Refractometer. You can get them off DrsFosterSmith.com right now on sale for $42.99.

Thanks Im still learning all this stuff. I think I have the freshwater thing down pat now(if there is such) but this salt water is ALL new.....But again thanks for the help....I keep reading and hoping that I too will be able to help someone on here as well. Oh yea here is the pic of the tank and stuff.
