My new Synodontis eupterus

This is my new Synodontis eupterus, after much debate on whether to get this or pictus. I decided as soon as I saw them. He's about 2 inches long not including the tail fin.

Smile. He's going to be enjoying his stay in a quarantine tank for a week or so just to make sure he won't infect my big tank.

My guess would be a he but I'm not sure. I would say he is actually about 1.75" including tail fin. Hopefully he won't have any problems, I'm taking like every precaution possible including putting in some melafix for a few days to make sure everything is alright.

They grow pretty fast, I got mine at about the same size as yours, and it hid for about two months, but when I had to move it to another tank it had doubled in size!

$50! Wow, mine was $15 I know you can get it for $9 online and then $25 for shipping thats still cheaper than $50 heh.

Awwww, he's so cute!!!!!!! I have a soft spot for synos... they just have those big eyes and a cute face.

If you live in the us and have a good petsmart go there. They are on sale this week for about $6 or so.

Thats a temporary fish container to introduce fish to other tanks. I don't like to use the bag so I pour the bag water into that container and change some of the water every 15 min for an hour to get him slowly adjusted to my quarantine tank.
