is it possible to keep live plants in a 5G tank with incandesent lighting? im not sure what kinda they are but i think tehy are relatively low light, if not, wut is the mininum WPG for live plants?
 
Hi..I think you could do it with low lighting plants...java fern, java moss. I have been having luck with those and Anacharis and water wisteria with lighting below the 2 watts/gallon.....at least for now :thumbs: SH
 
yes its possible, but for a begginer that doesnt know much about plant its not easy.. I have a 3g tank with 2x 14W 6400K bulbs that you can by for the hardware store.. I took some fotos of the light is doesnt look great but I hope you get the idea..

The lights cost me R14.99 I think thats $2.14.
