Hi All,

i have recently added a water sprite to my 40G Pic Attached. when i bought it i was told it needed high light to survive. i only have 1.5WPG in my tank with co2 and plain gravel substrate. i was expecting it to die but thought what the heck.. lets give it a go.

it has doubled in size in 1 week.??? huh whats going on, can anyone shed any er light on this.

Both of the commonly available species of Ceratopteris are called "Water Sprite". Both prefer at least medium light, and don't develop to their maximum potential unless well light, but both will also grow in lower light, and at least survive in really quite dim light. Very undemanding plants.
