Here's a photo of my Amazon Sword pearling like mad. There's something about witnessing the production of oxygen bubbles, it's great to watch and it's good to know that all is well with the balance of nutrients.

Great pic :) i hope someday my plants will look as good as yours.

But then my guppy jumped out onto the floor, where I then frantically tried to pick her up and ended up squishing her a little bit, possibly crushing the little fries she's got, as I heard a wierd bubbly crunchy sound when I did...
Oh no! :( I haven't had a fish jump out lately but I have been keeping a pile of 3 oz dixie cups near my tank and hopefully if someone hops out I can scoop it up quickly in a dixie cup. I use them for collecting tank water for testing and for thawing frozen food too.

i really envy your tank :) im gonna redo my tank in a week i hope it turns out half as nice as yours :) haha wish me luck :p btw gf do you have advice for a totally stripped down planted tank set up ? im gonna pack it with quick growing plants since the plants i had before werent able to out compete the algae :(

It's kind of cool to actually witness one of the two reactions that fuel most life on earth. Damn anerobic bacteria ruining that sentance.

OK I'm done sulking... A copy of that PM would be great too :)
Since the tanks will be getting pretty much setup from scratch after the move.
