heres one, any angelfish in a reef must be observed carefully because they are not completely trustworthy. At times the pygmy angels, including the Flame Angel, have been known to destroy corals, sponges, etc. 55 gal min

another, The Lemonpeel Angelfish needs plenty of vegetable matter in its diet. Make sure to give it lettuce leaves, and a good spirulina-angelfish formula

another, "The Coral Beauty is an attractive fish that varies in its intensity of coloration depending on where it was collected in the wild. It is a relatively peaceful fish that does very little or no harm to invertebrates, although it may be inclined to occasionally peck at tubeworms or coral polyps. It is generally resistant to disease and grows to a maximum of 4 inches. It should be kept in a reef tank where it can browse on algae growing on the live rock. Keep it with many rock crevices to hide in, because the more there are, the more secure it will feel and the more it will come out into the open." not sure if this is true but ive read 30gall min

another, Heralds' Angelfish, Centropyge heraldi looks almost exactly like a Lemonpeel Angelfish. but without the blue ring around the eye and gill covers. Also, Herald's angelfish is not as dependant on algae in it's diet as the Lemonpeel is.

another,Like many angelfish the Semicirculatus or Koran Angelfish changes color when it enters adulthood. As a juvenile the Semicirculatus or Koran Angelfish is colored dark blue with lighter blue edging and white semicircular markings. As an adult the color turns gray to light yellow with darker spots. It grows to a maximum of 15 inches (380 mm) in the aquariumer, 90 gal min

I loved my Koran but got rid of it as i felt it would outgrow my 100 gallon :*) Little did i know taht around the corner i would get a monster tank to keep him in

Still he is happy in a fish only setup with a lionfish for a friend :-(

Not usually reef safe but mine was excellant with my acros and hard corals. he would munch on zoos all day though

was yours mature or did it still have its colours, its a shame when they lose there juvanile colours but they are still a nice fish bit to big for me

It was just beginning to change so the bars were still quite strong, i wuld have loved to have seen it complete its clourchange to adulthood though.

I used to think they were really bland as adults until i saw an adult in a local aquarium. Very underated fish that is equally as beautiful in adult colours as juvinile IMO. Also one of the hardiest of large angels you can get!

i would have onebut havent got the tank size, i was working in london last year and they had some rathe large glass paines that they through away, they were nearly 1cm and a half thick 3 meters long and a meter and a half wide (over a grand each) just think of the size tank you could get with a couple of those but i did not keep fish then so its my loss :(

aww! my dream! a 5ft deep tank! IMagine the aquascaping possibilities with that

ive seen one in a shop (home marine in enfield) its masive, on its stand its taller than me and im six foot, i think the glass is 5 ft high 5 ft wide by 3 ft its amazing and run by computers next time i go up there il ask if i can take a pic for you guys

Thank you for all of the great pictures and info blout!

I am used to keeping freshwater tanks, so I had no idea the size of tanks that saltwater fish need. Good thing I am still in the planning phase

Just better clarify...
The larger angels like the Koran, Emperor etc need largeer tanks. However the Dwarfs and even moreso the pygmy's can handle far smaller tanks. 40 gallons would be an ideal size for a dwarf angel.

 no way, 81kgs is quite enough thank you, would be cool to have one large enough you could take a dip in :D (c'mon mr lottery - PAY ME! PLEASE?)

You dont really have all those angels in one tank or something do you? Or are you just posting info?

With the Centropyge flavissima (Lemonpeel), it will eat coral... its just a matter of when it warms up to do so. The others will tend to as well... its just a matter of when or if you miss a feeding, they may still nip at them anyway. Cherub or Atlantic Pygmy Angels are aggressive as crazy towards their own. Be careful with those.
