Heres a pic of my 11" Red Snakehead. The juvenile (sp) colours have now gone and she... Anna as in Anaconda is starting to look more like an adult.

Ive also got another red snakehead arriving hopefully Tuesday so share the tank with as nothing else will survive in her tank.

heres pic 1

Nice

an 11" juvi , do you go broke feeding her ? What do you feed her ? ;)

Looks like she's open for business .

Wow, what are you gonna do with it when it gets to its full 3'? Have a tank ready for it? If yes, would you mind taking my channa marulius off my hands as well? :p

I'd get that fish, if i had the space for it.

P.T.

Yep 11" of pure aggression. Nah shes a pussy cat really :)

She eats approx 10 lancefish a day but sometimes she will decide not to eat so wait until the next day. She also likes cod and feeders but she dont get them very often.

Her tank once shes grown abit more will be an 8 x 4 x 4 at least which is going to be part of the converted garage wuhu :)

Thanks MWM I have plenty more fish too :p

She's great really doesn't look nasty to me though!!

How comes your getting another? I would of thoguth you struggling to house that one at the moment??

the 8x4x4 would be something to see, would need a pretty big gravel cleaner

Nice snakehead....It's illegal here too in Canada. I work on an LFS and a month ago a customer drop off a snakehead about 5" big and we told him that unfortunately we can't take it as a trade in, and since he doesn't want to keep it he gave it to one of the workers there......I was going to take it, but i'm unable to keep a tank big enough for it.....

What?! Snakeheads are illegal in Canada? They're tropical! There's no way they could survive here! Damn, and to think I wanted one...damn government...I guess that shows how stupid they are (well, partially), banning a tropical fish in a cold-weather climate.
