From the markings and position of the dorsal fins it is certainly one of the Nandus species, possibly Nandus nandus. Nice fish.

This is my sons , the fish displays variable color from time to time [ light brown to dark brown that is :lol:

], and sometimes lightens up like yours if it's not feeling comfortable .

Maybe the same as yours , there aren't many species in the nandid group .

The common name for nandus nandus is just 'nandus' or 'nandus leaf fish' if that's what you're asking
