Went to STM today in sevenoaks Kent, very nice shop.
Purchased my live rock 30 kg £280  but who cares this hobby grabs you by the B#### and does'nt let go.
Even with my small set up I've spent a small fortune.
Just worked out that my LR cost me £246 for 17kg so you got a good deal, spose it pays to buy it all at once. I got mine in 5kg steps with the extra 2kg being odd bits I picked up here and there.

Jon
is a kilogram a LOT more than a pound?Around here it would be about 200 dollars for 50 pounds of lr.

2.2pounds is 1kilogram
everything is more expensive in the UK

The rock is now in place and with the added bonus of a stowaway snail :D
Really nice rock, covered in green, red and purple algae.

Waiting?

If you got the liverock from STM then im willing to bet there is no need to wait as the tank will have cycled already.

very nice, if this is your first reef tank then you'll get loads of enjoyment from just looking at the all the life on the rock, which looks pretty good stuff so should have loads, and get a torch to look at nught with, will see loads more then (especially with a red filter!)
