Well, I have been so busy lately that I have had very little time to take pictures of my fish. Today however I had the day off and a bit of time spare, so I decided to take a couple of pictures of my loaches (Zebra and YoYo), That are now in my 50G. Also there is a picture of one of my larger syno. petricola. I have 4 of these guys now, of varying sizes, but this is the biggest of the lot, about 2.5-3".

Oh very nice pics. Love yo yos and clown loaches.
I mean Zebras, it's me that's got clowns (pardon the senior moment please!)

I assume the second pic is a yoyo loach. I have 4 of these guys and they were sold to me as pakistani loaches
I love these guys and I love to hear the clicking sound they make when I drop in a couple of the sinking tablets for them.
I also have fun trying to work out how they make that noise. Can anyone shed some light on that for me (how do loaches make the clicking noise, and why?)
Apologises is you think I am hijacking your thread with this question bunjiweb, this is not intentional.
:kewlpics: by the way!

pakistani and yoyo loaches are the same thing :) so dont worry!

As for the clicking sounds, these are produced by their jaws, and happens when eating food, or can also be used as a form of communication it is believed.

My clown loaches click when I turn off the lights early. Based on that, I think its to locate each other when they're scared/can't see. After they click, they seem to regroup and run for their cave.

haha they click to find each other, it's kind of ironic because me and my dad can both click our tongues deathly loud (like can here across a super walmart) so when I was younger and would wonder off in order to find him I'd click my tongue and he'd click back until we found each other based on where the noise was coming from, isn't it ironic... (course we never did it in an airport as people might think a gun was going off, it's that loud and guns or even the thought of one in an airport is NOT a good thing)
