Are those them red clawed crab i've been hearing about

Just a couple questions:

Are they fully aqautic?

Are they in brakish?

Because if I think the answers are what I want them to be, i'm going to have to invest in some of them

TESS - the 'suka' fish is called a plecostomus or pleco. If you read the previous posts you'll see your question's already been answered.

DarkSide - if you look at the very first post, it says those crabs are being moved to brackish and there's no sign of them not being fully aquatic so I suppose the answer to both your questions is yes.

Yes, I have three commons in with my Ps right now and they ignore them. I keep a very close eye on them to make sure they are ok. I have seen the Ps and the Plecs go after an algea wafer before and sometimes the plec wins. I make sure the Ps are well fed.

Yep, those are Red Clawed Crabs. They don't have to be fully aquatic but they can be. I do have one that keeps trying to make the break for freedom up my heater. He has only gotten out once and was fine. They do need access to water though. The puffer tank right now does have some salt in it but not enough to call it brackish. the crabs need some salt or they wont do very well. There is something call "creeping death" or something like that. Without the salt claws or legs will fall off or they could just stop moving and slowly die.

I love the crabs, they do a heck of a job with keeping things clean

I didnt ask what sork of suka it was ( i was'nt asking questions realy), i was just curious after never seeing p's before and even more curious about the suka. It purely conversational to the owners of the fish.

Wow! Who would expect that from a cute little puffer? Not too worry, right now the crabs outsize the puffers by like 3 times. When they start to get big enough to eat them I will make new arrangements. Thanks for the warning though.

this one looks like it just killed something and didnt get the whole thing in its mouth.

sirminion- I think that was the first time i ever saw marhta. She looks like a great fish but im sure the crab doesnt think so.

Minion - if your still out there. I have a question for you about one of my puffers. The biggest one looks like it always has a full belly. It sits on the bottom of the tank alot in the rocks and just kind of floats there. Sometimes its stomach will get dark most of the time its very white. Any ideas what it might be? Most of the time it acts like the others. I have seen no aggression and my water checks out ok. I;ll see if I can get a pic when it is doing this.
