i bought this at a lfs they said it was a black eel (however i dont think its a fish nevermind an eel)

i think it maybee an amphipian as it has no gills and breaths air all the time please help as want to know more about it as it gave BIRTH and i have 1 and i have only had the 1 for 7 months weird!!!!

also it seems to be blind as i can see eye sockets but they are covered over

Yep, I think you must have mis-typed into Google. I recognised the beast but had to use Google to check the spelling myself.

And are you saying it gave birth after being alone for 7 months?

Edit: Just googled a bit more and it says gestation period is 6 to 9 months. That is an interesting animal you have there!

wow thats amazing my caecilian (thanks timmy ) got pregnat in the shop they have gestation period of 9 months just like we do when she gave birth she looked like she was in pain HOW WONDERFUL IS THE NATURAL WORLD !!!!
