Hello All,

Nice to see quite a lot of apisto talk on the net. Hopefully these little fish will take off and become very popular when people realise what fantastic characters they are, not to mention the colour morphs as well.

Here is one of the best I got and I got about 15 babies from him growing up.

Hi,

I'd say only about 10 gallons. Just keep a pair and feed them good quality food. After a while if you have provided small caves for the female then you'll soon have little nippers.

The one in the picture is spoilt though he lives in here !!

Are those plants real? What are the tank's specs and it's inhabitants, other than the apistos. I see a pair of discus in there too, goes well with the tank. :nod:
 
Definitely real.

Super amazing dude-- you've done an amazing job. Great fish selections, great plant selections-- great tank man. I like how you've chosen to leave some empty space but still filled in enough of the foreground with crypts. The tiger lilies look amazing-- well, as does everything else. :D

Lovely apisto too-- I have a pair in my 10g; check out the updated thread, I think you'll like.

Anyway bro, you need to get yourself a better camera and some digital image alteration software to get us some images worthy of your tank and fish. :sly:
 
i love the apisto and ya tank, couple of questions
1) Wat is the dims. for ya tank?
2) how old r ya discus
3) wat co2 system
4) what lights u got

The tank is 96" x 24" x 18 (LxHxW).

8 x 40Watt Dennerle Plant Lights.
Undergravel Heater
2 x 300 Watt Heaters
3 External Filters
Quartz Gravel
Duponit Fertiliser

NO CO2 SYSTEM you don't need one, plus it means you have to reduce fish stocking levels.

Fish:

Apisto's, Tetras, Rams, Discus, Plecs (Zebra and Tiger) and more Apisto's.

Apisto.

P.S Do any of you guys know people who breed apisto's or Rams on the forum, other good shops elsewhere I'm always on the look out.

I was planning to trade in my parrots tomorrow and get a paor of rams or apistos. Are they compatable with this tank?

Heres a list of fish I have (without the parrots):

3 Pearl Danios
2 M. Dwarf Gouramis
4 Coryoras aenus
3 Spotted Corys
1 Albino Chocolate Pleco

This is in a 55 US gallon tank. :D
