That's a gorgeous black female. My one black just decided recently to be a male. He just started growing his sword and I can't wait for him to fully mature. I keep looking for more of the black variety but they're hard to find locally. Thanks for sharing! :D :D :D

Both swordtail females

Black female in front and orange female in back

Here at my lfs they have so many of the black ones...I hope one of my black fry babies is a boy. I love the ones at my lfs and would love to get a male but would rather wait and keep one that I've raised instead

Actually, I'm happy my black is a male. I'm hoping to breed him with my pineapple and neon fry when they grow up. Or I might buy him a red velvet female. I want to produce black bodies with red fins.

Thanks again for sharing the pictures. :kewlpics:

O my gosh, I LOVE your tank! :hyper: I don't usually comment on tank pics, so take this as a huge compliment. :p I think it is one of the best looking mostly? fake planted tanks I've seen. Awesome job!

And your fish are gorgeous.

Wow Thanks for all the compliments :*)

Yes the tank has plastic plants, silk plants as well as a few live amazon swords. Since I took that picture I added another large amazon sword to the tank. They are my bristlenoses favorite plant to suck on :p

I'm gonna read up on what other plants can survive in low lights...so far the amazon swords seem to be doing ok
