Help with plec ID

I'm trying really hard to act normal
It's difficult to tell from the photo but my clown is a dark brown color with gold/yellow striped markings going around his body.

Thanks...when I had first got him, I went there, but the site was down, and I just never went back. His stripes aren't as narrow as the one's the show....he's sort of more "swirly" and blotchy...but I suppose there are always variations. I like the little bugger, no matter what he's called.

I'm not discounting the clown plec ID - but it has very similar colouration to our bristlenoses at times.
does it have yellow tips on its tail?
the eyes might be the answer to it.
Bristlenose eyes are nearer the top of the fishes head rather than towards the side...

my bnose has those same colours too. i think its a bristlenose
