my new tank

my first tank is currently cycling with 3 x red platties. Up and running for 3 weeks now, thought you might like to see.

nice setup
what size tank?
what other kinds of fish are you planning on putting in there?

thanks, its all down to the guys on this site, never had fish before and needed loads of help to get started.

Hope to add a small group of either cories or small otos, a shoal of rasbora and either a gourami or krib.

Its a 20g juwel tank so I think that would be about my limit - not quite sure on the order to add them in.

Awesome tank! I can see one of your red platies!

A shoal of Cardinal Tetras would look ace in your tank after cycling has finished. Just add a few at a time over a period of two week intervals between the last and the next batch, give the filter a chance to seed itself. Oh don't forget to check ammonia and nitrite regularly while cycling.

hmm - never thought about cardinals but I sure I read somewhere that they need a bigger fish to make them shoal well. They do look nice though, how many would you suggest?
Would I still be able to go with the bottom shoalers as well?

Thanks for your nice comments on the tank, the plants are growing really well and all readings appear normal.
