Love the wood, not only because it kinda looks like a skeletal rib cage but it's got a nice colour to it as well. Any idea what type of wood it is?

Thanks everyone! I'm not sure actually what kind of wood it is. We were bad and picked it up at the beach 
) We soaked it and poured boiling water on it(it's to big for my pots). It's some sort of root system, we had to break a lot off b/c it wouldn't fit in the tank. It is pretty much the centre piece of the tank and the fish love it. They are always swimming in and out
