My red daddy has been down in the dumps ever since I took him out of the spawn tank. He's the only male I've ever seen who truly got depressed,he's also the best daddy I've ever seen. I've noticed he's especially hard to get a charge out of as of lately,so tonight while doing water changes on the jars,I decided to show dad one of his boys,just in case he's wondering how they are...or if they survived without him. I've never seen him so excited. It wasn't because it was another male betta...he knew who they were ;) First I showed him a st who reminds me most of him. The son wouldn't even react,but the dad wasn't flaring with intention of scaring him...he was just looking him over. It was very cute and loving.

The worst part was the silicone in dad's 2.5'er. It ruined a few really cute shots! :grr:

Next up was a DT,who instantly went flare crazy at his father and the favor was graciously returned. It was the most precious thing I've ever seen. Almost like the son was saying "Look how handsome I am" and dad was saying "Oh don't I know,you're amazing!!"

That is so amazing :wub: I know they know who their babies are, no matter what anyone says. :thumbs: The babies are just to die for :wub: :flex:
 
Thanks you guys :wub: It was really,really precious. I think he would have enjoyed looking at each and every one of them if I'd of taken the time to do so. I noticed him zooming all over his tank a little while ago while I was feeding. He has a whole new outlook. It was so cool the way he cautiously approached them,and his flares weren't hostile or aggressive,more like a way of communication. Awesome,love em :wub: :wub:

Those are awesome pictures and fishes Kelly, and that DT is :wub: Dad's going to be like, "ok mom, get me another female, lets make more of those gorgeous kids!". Lol
