If the whitish grey spots are like salt particles..it is ich. if it is a flat spot of color on the fish, it is probably columnaris.
Oh, gosh, what's columnaris? Does MelaFix help it? I think they are just little spots of color, and when the light shined on him in his new tank, I realized that he has small white streaks on his sides, and now there's a little black around the edges of his front little fins... the thin ones that hang down from his stomach. (I can't remember what their called. :p )

I'm so worried about my little Sakana. I just want him to get better. :-(

dont freak flautist... bettas are troopers... i have 2 that like their tanks at like 70 and one that wont have it below 80 so dont worry its all what the fish likes... i dont know what columnaris is but one thing i could suggest is take him to like a fish store near you ( specialized for fish not just pets) and have them look at him... and the ones that hang down are ventrals... and if they look like salt use super ich cure it works wonders... heres a pic of the bottle

pictures, you can't see any of the spots I'm talking about, but you can see the split fin, and how they are clamped and pale.
