I was conditioning with bloodworms last week, and I am really allergic to them, my husband "prepares them" and then I feed with gloves, a msk, and a baster.

Well here we are a week later and I decided to do 100% w/c on my momma red's tank, who obviously had bloodworms last week. I took two bendryl 30 minutes before I went out and below is what I look like now...just from water that had bloodworms last week :crazy:

Please excuse my no makeup and freakin eyebrows :alien: Don't think they would help the appearence at this point :sad:

Maybe you need one of those chemical warfare suits for when you feed the bettas from now on. :thumbs: :hyper: When you get one, I want to see the sexy pictures! OoOoOoo chemical warfare suits....*drools* Gas masks..... :drool:

Aww steph - all puffy and now you probably need a nap from all that Benadryl! That sucks.

That is unbelievable!! I feel so bad for you,that totally sucks...I can't even imagine.
 
I'm kinda getting immune to bendryl, it's my epi-pen that kills me, but I haven't needed that in a few months knock on wood :shifty:

It's swelled shut :( But it stopped itching now, so I should be back in comission soon :thumbs:

With those eyebrows up there, I'd say I'll be up for selling oatmeal and Liberty diabetic supplies in no time :sick: :shifty:
 
you know, you could wipe out this problem completely by giving us all of your bettas ;)

hope you feel better. that would just be awful to be allergic to fish food. its a really strange thing TO BE allergic to, too.........................
 
It's funny, Steph - I just joined over at PNWB club, and the first topic I saw was about bloodworm allergies. Remember Pamela, from the show? Tall blond smoker that reminded you of someone else? She has that problem too.
 
My Bettas would do without bloodworms. Hope it feels better soon. Seriously..find another food. Those fish are not worth it. I rarely feed bloodworms anyway because of the sweet smell. It about makes my stomach ill. Good luck...post some fishie pics :D

Awwwww!!! There nothing wrong with your eyebrows. :rolleyes:
 
I just have so little selection as far as fish food around here that I have to go with bloodworms for conditioning. Some days it's bad and some not so bad :dunno: Usually just my left eye too -_-

Cation~yes I remember her, that's interesting that she has the same "condition" :lol: What did they say about it? Anything helpful, or just complaints like me :thumbs:
