Can you get a picture of the whole tank without the moon lights. Also does this light stress the Discus out. I was told it would.

looks awsome

yeh any shots with normal lights?

Give me a few on the whole tank shots, and before the moonlights, when the timer would either turn on or off the main lights, the fish would be startled, now it is seamless, no reaction.

Took a while, but here is the shot of the tank with its normal lighting. Now, the moon lighting is on at the same time, so you realise just how subtle it is...

Nice tank!

Do the discus use the clay pots on the right as caves or something?

they use the big strawberry pot on the far right, the smaller pots are the home of the rams.

Hey, are they actual LED's? Or are they just christmas lights? If they're LED's, what's it say on the box or actually, what's the UPC? Thanks! I've been looking for something like that for a while.

Crappy tire sells LED christmas lights now that use actual LED's, not regular bulbs. So i'm guessing that's what he/she is using. I was actually going to buy some for my tank this week.

Michael's tend to be *he's*. :> And they are NOMA blue LED. they are marked clearly as LED on the box.

yeah i have some of those, not on the fish tank yet tho, how did you do it? i mean theres like 35 lights on the string but you dont them alll lighting up the tank? and mine were only 8$can at home hardware :p

I folded the strings into a length bout 4 feet long, and tie strapped them together. Ther is no valance for them as of yet, so the majority of the light is wasted into the room, only about a quarter of it actually makes it into the tank.

I honestly didn't even look at your name.... my apologies. :D

On a side note, i just bought the lights at Home Depot, i'm going to rig something up for them tonight. I think i'm going to put them beside my tank light (there is a space large enough beside my bulb, that area is protected by a peice of plastic or something.
