well CFC has been begging to see this guy since he found out that I was getting him well here is the best pic that I could get and unfortunatly it is of him in his cave lol so all you can see is his pretty little baby face he still has at least another 7 inches to go till he is the boss man that he can be.

now that is the part that was/is being debated sold to me as a crenicicla sedentaira ( not to be found in LFS anywhere!!!!) he is doing well in his tank for tongiht tomorrow I will be offering him shrimp as he is a F0 fish.

This is the pike that i have which i said looks very similar, if not identical, which i purchased as Crenicichla sp "bellycrawler".

BTW the fish is in a photograph tank and was only in there a few minutes before anyone starts about small bare tanks being cruel :lol:

that is a nice pike. just gotta love the reticulata pikes!!!! I just see some minor differences though, the orbital stripe isn't broken like it is on mine, and the spot on the caudual penduncle isn't highlighted like it is on mine. but bellycrawlers are an awesome pike.
 
Well, whatever he is, he's a cool fish juan.

Oh yeah and yours too CFC!!! :lol:
 
yes they both are that is for sure, I am hoping to get in touch with vinny kutty who is one of the top people in the pike cichlid world so that he can perhaps help to identify this guy
