Addicted and in Therapy
I'm so very excited right now. 
First of all, because my Betta foerschi are spawning yet again, and I'm hoping he doesn't swallow the eggs again (cross your fingers), and secondly because I got some pics that I think are pretty awesome!! 
Oh and then thirdly because I learned a TON about how these particular fish spawn, very different from most mouthbrooders - ex: the eggs stick to the female and the male picks them off her very gently - you'll see that. Also, the female is paralyzed for a veeeeeery long time. 
But enough about that, I could write pages and I'm sure most of you don't care.
The spawning dance. Notice how fat the female is and how clamped their fins are. Also, see how she has horizontal stripes? That's her type of spawning stripes, instead of vertical. Crazy huh?!

I have lots of pics of this, but like I said, I don't want to bore. I know they're not as pretty as splendens, but this is a cool shot because there aren't a lot of fins to get in the way. You can really see how it works.

One is stuck to her on the right of her ventrals, and the other is resting on the plant leaf on her right. So big. 
Also, yet another egg!!! Hi future babies!! 
So here is what Dad looks like now. 
) Here is my beautiful father again. Hugely uncomfy I'm sure, he can't even shut his gills or mouth completely anymore.
